Lake {Amador}

As a final hurrah to the summer, we took a small trip to Lake Amador and went camping. We only went Saturday night to Monday and good gravy...it is so much work. The van was packed from front to back with camping crud and the thing is - is that we needed every bit of what we took. The set-up and clean-up are such party spoilers but it's the memories in between that make it all worth it.

Somebody told us before we went that this place was really 'dusty'. We thought 'Come on, we're caming...what do you expect?". Well...we found out soon enough that this dirt was 'special'. It stuck to EvErYtHiNg! The first few pictures are literally the first few minutes after we arrived. It's a good thing we had the lake to rinse off in!

{We had a special visitor during the night that scared the jeepers out of us. It ended up being a harmless deer eating our garbage but for all we knew it could have been a bear.}

I ended up with about 5 baskets of laundry for less than 2 days of vacation. The stuff we do for our kids!
